Demolition starts at Ballston One office tower in Arlington, VA, for 328-unit project

Demolition has begun at the Ballston One office building at 4601 Fairfax Drive in Arlington, Virginia. Developer Penzance plans a seven-story, 328-unit apartment building on the site after buying the tower for $25 million in summer 2023 and winning County Board approval in July 2025. The former Holiday Inn next door has already been razed for a separate 475-unit project.
