McMynn parking ramp demolition in downtown Racine to make way for $1.3 million surface lot

The city of Racine is demolishing its downtown McMynn parking garage under a $1.3 million contract that also covers building a surface lot in its place. The work, approved in the 2026 budget, is expected to finish by late November, though fencing and landscaping could be pushed to spring if weather interferes. McMynn Tower residents who used the ramp have been given alternative parking through the city's parking management company.
