Hopkins razes Dell House and former Homewood learning center in Baltimore

Johns Hopkins University has started demolition work on two Baltimore properties. Asbestos Specialist Inc. of Linthicum Heights began asbestos removal at the 16-story, 47-unit Dell House at 2850 N. Charles St. on Oct. 19, with completion expected by Feb. 28, 2027, and demolition to follow. Separately, demolition of the former Homewood Early Learning Center at 200 Wyman Park Drive began Oct. 23 to make way for a Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Institute building, targeted for 2029.
