Pratt Pool in Prattville set for demolition under $95,000 contract
Prattville's city council has awarded Murphy Excavation a $95,000 contract to demolish Pratt Pool, built in 1978 and closed this season over concerns about undetected voids beneath slabs that could cause sudden structural failure. Because the pool was built with federal funds, the land must stay in recreational use. Soil testing after demolition will determine what can be built there.
