Former Libbey Glass site in Shreveport clears remediation, full demolition set through 2027
Environmental remediation is complete across more than 850,000 square feet at the former Libbey Glass site on Jewella Avenue in Shreveport, Louisiana, clearing the way for full-scale demolition. North Louisiana Economic Partnership says about 95% of steel, brick and concrete will be recycled. Demolition began in a limited capacity in April and is expected to run through mid-2027, with the site's silos next to come down.
