Demolition begins on 122-unit Boykin Towers in Mobile, AL, airport authority site

Demolition has started on the Frank W. Boykin Towers, a 122-unit housing complex at Michigan Avenue and Hurtel Street in Mobile, Alabama, District 3 Councilman C.J. Small said. The Mobile Airport Authority, which acquired the site in 2024, is clearing it as part of a master plan near Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley.
