A brick and concrete wall collapsed Thursday afternoon during demolition at 5005 Fifth Ave. in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, striking the upper corner of the adjacent Salvation Army Brooklyn Sunset Park Corps Community Center at 520 50th St. The site was operating under an active Department of Buildings permit; inspectors were called for a structural stability check, and the investigation is ongoing.
