Metcalf Middle School demolition in Eagan on hold after funding falls through

Demolition of the vacant Metcalf Middle School in Eagan remains on hold after School District 191 failed to secure outside funding. The Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School Board voted to extend the bid award to Nov. 12, with a low bid of $795,000 from DRC Inc. among nine proposals ranging up to $2.59 million. The district's $9.6 million sale agreement with Pulte Homes allows either party to handle demolition, using a $250,000 Dakota County grant if Pulte does the work.
