Former Atlanta Medical Center campus demolition to wrap by late 2026, 150,000 tons down

Trinity Green LLC and Atlanta Demolition LLC expect to finish razing the 2.5-million-square-foot former Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center campus in downtown Atlanta by late 2026, with Integral Program Management overseeing the work. FERMA Corp. and Magoba LLC handled asbestos abatement using negative-pressure containments and hydrojet paint removal before crews began vertical demolition in mid-September with a Volvo EC950 and Hitachi FE-115 high-reach excavator. Roughly 150,000 tons of concrete have been demolished, with about 90 percent expected to be recycled, and Phase 1 work now focuses on removing below-grade foundations and utilities.
