Kingsley, MI, razes former John's Auto and Autotech sites on W. Main St through Sept. 22

Demolition begins on adjacent West Main Street parcels in Kingsley, Michigan, covering the former John's Auto site at 103-111 W. Main St. and the former Autotech property at 115 W. Main St. Dore & Associates will handle the work, funded by a $500,000 state grant, with the job running through Sept. 22 weather permitting. The Grand Traverse County Land Bank Authority acquired the sites over two years with the Village of Kingsley and its Downtown Development Authority, which plans to issue a request for qualifications this month to select a partner for mixed-use redevelopment.
