Danbury approves razing 379-space garage at Boehringer Ingelheim site for 173-space lot

Danbury zoning staff approved Boehringer Ingelheim’s plan to demolish a two-story, 379-space parking garage and replace it with a 173-space surface lot at the drugmaker’s Briar Ridge Road campus, without a Planning Commission hearing. The project cleared engineering, health, fire and building department review, and cuts campus parking by 200 spaces, leaving 680 for 400 employees. Stormwater will drain to four new catch basins, with no upgrades required to existing infrastructure.
