Former Adrian Hospital in Punxsutawney set for November demolition after $647,000 award

The Punxsutawney Regional Development Corporation has awarded a $647,000 contract to Spiegel Excavating LLC of Edinburg for demolition and site prep at 314 Park Ave., the former Adrian Hospital/Wellington Heights building. Work starts in November and should take 90 days, weather permitting. PRDC owns the site and is handling required asbestos abatement first, with grant funding secured through state Sen. Joe Pittman and Rep. Brian Smith.
