UH demolishes Hale Noelani Buildings C and D, removing 174 beds

Demolition of Buildings C and D at UH Mānoa's Hale Noelani complex began July 6 and is expected to finish by mid-August, ahead of fall 2026 classes. The UH Mānoa Office of Campus Operations and Facilities and the Office of Project Delivery are overseeing the work, which removes 174 of the complex's roughly 530 beds and includes debris removal and site prep. The remaining three buildings, A, B and E, are still under evaluation for renovation or demolition.
