Gallatin, MO approves $40,000 Perkins Dozing bid to raze former water plant

The Gallatin, Missouri board of aldermen approved a $40,000 bid Aug. 24 from Perkins Dozing to demolish the former water plant and two other buildings on the site. Perkins Dozing was one of five bidders and the only one to price the entire project, while other bids left some items unpriced, according to City Administrator Crystal Dorrel. The board separately authorized grant applications through the Missouri Intergovernmental Risk Management Association for safety equipment totaling $10,200.16, with the city's share at $2,550.04 if funded.
