Northbound Highway 218 bridge in Austin, MN closes April 24-27 for demolition

MnDOT will demolish the northbound Highway 218 bridge near Riverland Community College in Austin from 7 p.m. Friday, April 24 to 6 a.m. Monday, April 27, following demolition last weekend on the Highway 218 South/21st Street NE bridge. The southbound bridge closes during the work, then reopens to single-lane traffic in each direction until its own demolition in late June, when crews begin a city sanitary sewer crossing and roundabout construction at the I-90/218 north interchange.
