Redlands Mall asbestos abatement, structural work continue with no demolition date set

Crews at the former Redlands Mall in Redlands, California, are removing asbestos and addressing structural issues tied to demolition work around the adjacent CVS building, Development Services Director Sean Reilly told the Planning Commission. No timeline for demolition has been set, and the city has received no updated site plan or application to revise the 2022-approved mixed-use project, which called for up to 700 housing units and 65,000 square feet of retail space. The property was acquired in November 2025 by Town Square Development Group LLC.
