Curtis Corner Middle School demolition in South Kingstown to start this summer, run 3 months

Demolition of the former Curtis Corner Middle School in South Kingstown is set to begin this summer and run about three months, project managers told the town council. Contractor Bilray Corporation has already started removing building contents, with fencing now up around the site. Because the building is one story, crews plan to use an excavator rather than a wrecking ball, sorting materials for recycling. Abatement work targeting hazardous materials will follow, taking roughly a month depending on air clearances, before full demolition proceeds.
